My prayer 12-29-07

29 12 2007

Father, I know that you have this whole adoption in your hands, I know that you have the timing worked out and that you already have Brynnlee picked out for us, but I am soooo struggling with the time. As much as I want to control the situation I know I can’t, so I am laying it at your feet. Please ease my frustrations and my wants. Lord, I also lift up the Peoples Republic of China. I pray that you would start preparing the goverment offices for our paper work, start preparing the right workers in the right orphange, but more importantly that you would start preparing Brynnlee’s biological parents. Start preparing their hearts, minds and bodies.

The paperwork

29 12 2007

So we were a little misled about one step in the paper work. As we were preparing to mail the stack of papers to Austin, I thought I would call and make sure it was correct. That’s when we found out that we needed to send one part to Dallas so we can be fingerprinted AGAIN! When I asked how long it would take she told me 8-12 weeks. I am near tears. Then we can send the stack to Austin, then wait some more and then fly to Houston. I told Kyle we will probably be ready to go to Houston when we are planning our ski trip to Telluride.

Home study

28 12 2007

We got the call about 5 minutes ago saying that our home study was ready. They have already sent it to CHI and it was approved. So now we will mail it along with a stack of other papers to Austin for checking. Keep praying that this process moves faster than the last.

100 Good Wishes Quilt

28 12 2007

As many of you know we are creating a traditional Chinese quilt for our daughter Brynnlee Faith. It is tradition to ask friends and family to send a 1/4 yard of fabric and a wish. The fabric will be used in the quilt and the wish will go in a scrapbook for Brynnlee. We will post pictures of fabric and wishes as they come in, so check back with us later.
